Losing your smartphone can be stressful, but there are steps you can take to recover it or protect your data. You can use a citizen-centric portal known as Sanchar Saathi, introduced by the Indian government. This portal has been established by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). It uses the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) to find your device. The IMEI number is a unique identifier for your device. This can help you in various purposes such as tracking your phone if it’s lost or stolen, or for certain technical support issues.   How To Use The Sanchar Saathi Portal?  Step 1:  Go to the Sanchar Saathi website: https://sarcharsaathi.gov.in. Step 2:  Click on ‘Register Here’ to create your account. Step 3:  Select the option ‘Find stolen/lost device.’ Step 4:  Provide details such as your name, mobile number, IMEI, device brand, model, and invoice. Step 5:  Upload the purchase bill of your smartphone. Step 6:  Provide information about the loss of your device, including city, district, state, and date. Step 7:  Enter details of the police station where you filed a complaint, the complaint number, and upload a copy of the complaint. Step 8:  Provide your personal details along with a valid photo identity card (e.g., Aadhaar). Step 9:  Enter your mobile number to generate an OTP. Step 10:  Once the OTP is verified, create the account by adding your name, email address, and password. Click on the ‘Create Account’ button. Step 11: Log in to the portal with your new account. How To Locate And Disable Your Device?  Step 1:  After logging in, click on the “IMEI Search” button.  Step 2:  Enter your device’s IMEI number and tap on “Search.”  Step 3:  The location of your smartphone will be displayed.  Step 4:  To block your device, click on the “Block Stolen/Lost Mobile” button, enter your phone number, and select the reason for blocking.  Step 5:  Click on the “Block” button. Your phone will be blocked, preventing it from making or receiving calls or messages.  Notably, the Sanchar Saathi is a citizen-centric portal, launched by the DoT on May 16, 2023. It helps people to know about the mobile connections in their name, cancel connections they don’t need, block or trace lost phones, and check if a phone is genuine before buying. The DoT has added two new services. Users can now report international calls from Indian numbers and check how many wired internet providers are in their area.

Step 2: Fill Out the Form: Complete the form by mentioning the URL(s) you want to be removed from search results. Step 3: Add Multiple URLs: You can include several URLs in the form at once. Step 4: Verification by Google: Google will verify the pages. If the information provided is correct, Google will remove the URLs. Step 5: Allow Some Time: The process may take a little time, so be patient. How to Remove Your Personal Information Directly from a Website? Another method to remove your personal information is to request its removal directly from the webpage where it appears. Here’s how: Step 1: Visit the Page: Go to the webpage containing your personal information. Step 2: Click the Three Dots: Click on the three dots next to the URL. Step 3: Go to ‘About this result’: Select the “About this result” page. Step 4: Click ‘Remove result’: Choose the “Remove result” option. This will initiate the process to remove the page from Google’s search results. How to Track Your Removal Requests? After following either of these processes, you can track your removal requests. To do this, open the Google app and go to “Results About You.” Click on your profile photo, and you’ll be able to see the status of your requests. Further, you can add new removal requests and monitor their status from this section. After you submit a removal request, Google will review the content to see if it meets their criteria for removal.

New Delhi: In a shocking revelation, the police have uncovered a multi-crore scam operated from a fake call center in Noida. The scammers purchased phone data online for just Rs 2,500 which they then used to defraud hundreds of individuals. The gang was operating from a call center on the fourth floor of a market in Sector 51. They were busted on Friday in a joint operation by the Crime Response Team (CRT) and local Sector 49 police officials, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Shakti Mohan Avasthy reported. Main Suspects and Modus Operandi The primary suspects identified as Ashish and Jitendra. They hired nine women to work as call center executives. These women would call people and sell them fake loan and insurance policies.  The scammers started their fraudulent activities after working for SBI Life Insurance in 2019. They Purchased data of around 10,000 people from India Mart for just Rs 2,500 and began calling people across India pretending to offer loans and insurance, as disclosed by a police official. The gang enticed people from states outside the NCR with promises of high returns on loans and insurance policies. The women involved assisted Ashish and Jitendra on a commission basis. The women received their share in cash, a police spokesperson explained. They rented a PNB bank account from a person named Arvind in Karnataka for Rs 10,000 per month. The key suspects then used the ATM card associated with this account to withdraw the funds. Ashish kept a black diary to record all financial transactions and shared the profits with his associates based on their contributions, the police spokesperson said. The scheme had been operational for over a year, generating crores of rupees. All of this was recorded in the recovered diary. The accused used mobile phones with SIM cards obtained using fake Aadhaar cards which they purchased at higher prices from vendors. These SIM cards were used to hide their identities while targeting unsuspecting victims outside the Delhi NCR. The police named the main suspects as Ashish Kumar alias Amit and Jitendra Verma alias Abhishek. They also arrested nine women: Nisha alias Sneha, Reju alias Divya, Lovely Yadav alias Sweta, Poonam alias Pooja, Aarti Kumari alias Ananya, Kajal Kumari alias Surti, Sarita alias Suman, Babita Patel alias Mahi, and Garima Chauhan alias Sonia. An FIR has been filed in the case under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code, and the accused were sent to judicial custody after appearing before a local magistrate’s court.

The company has informed that the upcoming smartphone is set to be unveiled on July 16 at the company’s Summer Launch Event in Italy. New Delhi: Work pressure is a common issue for humans but in a surprising turn of events it’s now affecting robots too. Yes, you read that right. The incident which occurred last Thursday around 4 pm has left the community both bewildered and grieving. A robot civil servant employed by the Gumi City Council in South Korea has sparked a national debate following what many are referring to as the country’s first “robot suicide”. The robot, known as the ‘Robot Supervisor,’ was found lying at the bottom of a stairwell between the first and second floors of the council building. As observed by the witnesses, robot was exhibiting odd behaviour, “circling in one spot as if something was there,” before its unfortunate fall. Developed by Bear Robotics, a California-based startup known for robot-waiter technology. This robot operated from 9 am to 6 pm and even had its own civil service officer card. Unlike typical models confined to one floor, the Gumi City Council’s robot could independently call elevators and move between different floors. For now, the Gumi City Council has chosen not to replace their fallen robotic colleague. This tragic event has prompted them to temporarily halt their plans for further robot adoption. The reported suicide of the robot has ignited conversations in local media and online communities. Many people are questioning the workload and the factors leading up to the incident.

New delhi: Online food delivery platform Zomato has relaunched its ‘Intercity Legends’ service with a minimum order value of Rs 5,000. The service, which allowed users to order food from popular restaurants in other cities, was paused in April and has been relaunched with a fresh look within the app. It is now called “Legends” and allows users to customise their orders with dishes from various restaurants across cities in the same transaction. All orders placed before 7 p.m. will be delivered the next day. Meanwhile, Zomato has received shareholders’ nod to establish a new employee stock option pool (ESOP) of 18.2 crore shares, with 75 per cent of investors voting in favour and 25 per cent against it, the company said in an exchange filing. At a current market price of roughly Rs 208 apiece, the 18.26 crore shares are worth around Rs 3,800 crore.
