Instagram Spotify Song: Instagram, a Meta-owned platform, is rolling out a new feature ahead of World Music Day on June 21 that will allow users to share the music they’re currently listening to on Spotify directly through Notes. The new feature will display the live track being played on Spotify, including the song title and artist. It builds on Instagram’s ongoing collaboration with Spotify, which began last year with the introduction of the “Add to Spotify” button. Now, users can give friends a live peek into their music choices, making it easier to connect over shared tastes or discover new tracks. Samsung One UI 8 Beta 2 Update: Samsung is set to release the One UI 8 beta 2 update, based on Android 16, by the end of last month, according to media reports. The new beta update is being rolled out for the Galaxy S25 lineup, which includes the Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphones. However, South Korean giant Samsung has not officially confirmed the final release or launch date. Notably, this is the second beta version released for the same series. Starlink Internet Services In India: Elon Musk’s company Starlink is likely to launch its satellite internet service in India within the next two months after receiving a key licence from India’s telecom ministry. This could mark a significant development in India’s internet landscape and bring faster internet to more people across the country. Notably, Starlink is the third company to get a licence from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). Before this, Eutelsat’s OneWeb and Reliance Jio were also approved to offer similar services in India.  The launch is anticipated to bring much-needed high-speed internet access to remote and underserved areas across India, potentially bridging the digital divide. Starlink, an international telecommunications provider, currently operates in over 100 countries, offering both residential and roaming plans across the globe.  What Is Starlink  Starlink is a satellite-based internet service created by SpaceX, the aerospace company founded by Elon Musk in 2002. New Delhi: Google said it had resolved a temporary worldwide outage on its platforms that affected several services, including Google Chat, Google Meet, Gmail, and Google Cloud Search, on Thursday. The disruption, which resulted from a fault within Google Cloud, caused extensive accessibility issues for tens of thousands of users worldwide. Outage disrupts Google services Due to the outage, services such as Google Search, Google Meet, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, and Google Cloud Search were completely unavailable for users. The outage also disrupted services on Spotify, Snapchat and Discord that depend on the tech giant’s cloud managed services and infrastructure. What has the company said? Google said that it had fixed the worldwide outage on its platforms that affected its users. “The issue with Google Chat, Google Meet, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Cloud Search, Google Tasks, Google Voice has been resolved for all affected users,” the company said. Google further said that it will publish an analysis of the incident once the internal investigation is completed. “All the services are fully recovered from the service issue. We will publish an analysis of this incident once we have completed our internal investigation,” Google said. Cause of disruption Google Cloud engineers identified an identity and access management malfunction within Google Cloud’s systems to be the cause of the disruption. Google Cloud stated on its status page that multiple products were experiencing service impact. “Our engineers have identified the root cause and have applied appropriate mitigations,” Google Cloud stated on its status page. “All the services are fully recovered from the service issue. We will publish analysis of this incident once we have completed our internal investigation. We thank you for your patience while we worked on resolving the issue,” said the company.
